Claude Kachaka Sudi Kaiko
Regional Coordinator of RIFFEAC (Network of Forestry and Environmental Training Institutions)

Mr. Claude KACHAKA SUDI KAIKO has a  Congolese nationality (Democratic Republic ofCongo). He carried out his PhD in Agricultural Sciences in the CatholicUniversity of Leuven (Katholieke Univesiteit Leuven) of Belgium, Laboratory of SoilFertility and Soil Biology in May 1993. In 1994, he continued post-doctoralresearch in the same laboratory.  

 

From September 1994 to date, he is Professor at theFaculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Kinshasa (DRC).

 

He is the author of several scientific publicationsand has directed several dissertations and doctoral theses.

 

From 2005 to 2010, he was Coordinator of the VLIRproject between Congolese Universities (University of Kinshasa and CatholicUniversity of Bukavu) and Belgian Universities (KU Leuven and RU Ghent),

 

From 2009 to 2014, he was elected as Dean of theFaculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Kinshasa (DRC),

 

From 2015 to date, he is elected and appointed asRegional Coordinator of RIFFEAC (Network of Forestry and Environmental TrainingInstitutions) in Yaoundé - Cameroon.

 

He collaborates with several Technical and FinancialPartners (PTF) such as the French Development Agency (AFD), the InternationalTropical Timber Organization (ITTO), the International Tropical TimberTechnical Association (ATIBT), Laval University-Canada, the Center forEducation and Research in Forestry (CERFO)-Canada, the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaftfür Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in the management of the FOGRN-BC,PEFOGRN-BC, PARAFE, ADEFAC, LSSC projects with emphasis on training andSustainable Forest Management (SFM) in the Congo Basin.
