PhD in Tropical Forest and Territory Management from the Regional Post-Graduate Training School on Integrated Management of Tropical Forests and Territories (ERAIFT)

Krossy MAVAKALA holds a PhD in Tropical Forest andTerritory Management from the Regional Post-Graduate Training School onIntegrated Management of Tropical Forests and Territories (ERAIFT).

He is also the Lead Researcher of the Bushmeat Programat ERAIFT and a Fellow Researcher at the Department of Zoology of theUniversity of Oxfrod in Great Britain. His writings cover a range of topicsincluding public health (HIV/AIDS and Covid-19), local peri-urban andenvironmental governance, and security (urban gangsterism and conflict in theGreat Lakes region).

He is also working on the preparation of severaldocumentary films that recall the controversial context of forest governance inCentral Africa, in general, and in the Democratic Republic of Congo, inparticular, as well as the intervention mechanisms envisaged, such as theEcological Corridor of the Bateke Plateau (CEBAT).
